    Hi,

I have a one-page website (based on the underscores starter theme). My responsive navigation menu contains links to various elements on that page.

My problem is that, when I click an option in the menu, the page scrolls to the correct part of the page BUT the menu stays open.

Could anyone advise me how I can get the menu to close after any item has been clicked. I guess I need to add an on(‘click’.. function to navigation.js, but beyond that I’m stuck.

    Thanks so much.

  • Hi kahoferj,

I am looking for the same answer. I followed a tut but it was not complete when it came to the responsive menu functionality on mobile. I would really appreciate your help if you were able to figure this out. Thank you.

    Hi,

I’m afraid I haven’t yet. (I’ve avoided the issue by slightly redesigning my page!) But this is something I’m going to need at some stage, so I’ll keep at it. Will be sure to post here if I manage to fix it…..

hey, I’m dealing with the same problem, only thing I’m not using WP. HOWEVER, if your menu is activated by changing the class name from x to x.responsive then we are in same problem. I’m afraid that only solution is making the menu from scratch with adequate javascript

Thanks all! I avoided the issue by using a WordPress plugin.
