I have a clients site that all the sudden is not opening some of the latest gallerys he has uploaded. I have done some trouble shooting and found that the problem seems to be that the newest galleys he has made are not naming correctly and is causing the problem I believe. he has always used example.
Test & Test and it would rename it to something like test-test

Now it is keeping the example
Test & Test and it is staying like Test-&-Test

this I believe is causing the problem but I don’t know why all the sudden it has started doing this. You can view the site at sportspixbyron.com please if you have any help on this it would be greatly appreciated I seen another post kinda the same problem about 6 hrs ago. You can see I have the last one in the gallery on the photo page I added it back to the album so you could see the problem.

update I have spoke with the server owners and my programmer and we have narrowed it down to something with the plugin. Steps taken to get to this.

Can create a new page in wordpress Test & Test and wordpress and mod-rewrite does change it to test-test so all that is working there.

Now when creating a new gallery with the name Test & Test it does not rewrite to test-test instead it stays at Test & Test which is causing the gallery to not open on the front end. Any help in resolving this bug will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

@josparky – we have an update soon to be released that should help resolve this error with the permalinks. Once the update is released (hopefully within the next week), please follow up here in this forum thread with your results. Thank you 🙂

Same error here, but I noticed the error might be caused by the images name having &-ù-ò-è-ì.

Let’s hope the update will be released soon and thanks to the authors for being so helpful. Thumbs up.

Gotten they released an update couple days ago for this. I haven’t tried it yet but another guy has and said it fixed the problem.

    Hi @josparky

Thank you for your reply, yep I got that update and installed it: now new galleries work fine but the problem still persists with the old ones having images with such letters. 🙁

hhmm as I have not yet installed it I don’t know the fix. Have you tried to save/update the galleries again to see if it would fix them

@josparky – Re-saving the galleries should sort out any “older” galleries with issues although you may also need to clear the image cache under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous afterward (as well and any other caching plugins/services on the site).
