I am using the AddToAny Share Buttons plugin Version: 1.6.17 Author: AddToAny

Here is an example of what it looks like:
    Image
As you can see it posts non relevant info first. It would be great if there is a way I ca remove it and only view the event details.
    Thanks

Please can someone help to fix this issue?

You’d need to ask the support for AddToAny Share Buttons plugin if there’s a way to do this.

An alternative would be to created a custom version of the template at
/events-manager/templates/placeholders/locationmap.php, removing the Loading Maps… text. Bear in mind that will hide it from all users.

This tutorial explains how to create custom templates that are upgrade-safe:

Thank you for your reply. Much appreciated. I have tried several other social sharing plugins and all do the same as AddtoAny so that why I presumed it is something from event manger side that needs alteration.
I just want to understand the just to what you are saying… When you say it will hide it from all users are you saying that the words ‘loading maps’ will be hidden from all when they share an event or are you saying that the map parse will be hidden?

I will go research the custom templates. Thanks!

I mean that the Loading Map… text won’t be seen by anyone.

    Thanks Caimin_nwl,

So I created the necessary folders under my theme directory and removed the info from the locationmap.php file. But still the same loading map… message appear. I copied the file from the following directory: public_html/wp-content/plugins/events-manager/templates/placeholders and placed it in the: public_html/wp-content/themes/sweetdate-child/plugins/events-manager/templates/placeholders dir.
    What am I doing wrong?
I appreciate your help in this regard

Does it work if you place the custom template in the parent theme directory?

    (@nanettedp)

Yes, the ‘loading map…’ is gone if I edit the /events-manager/templates/placeholders/locationmap.php file.
The facebook sharing description looks like this now as seen in the shared image:

as you can see it still has the longitude and latitude cord etc setting in. I was hoping to remove it all so that the sharing pluging only share the necessary info that is entered in the ‘details’ field of eventmanager
Is there a way to do this?

Because the latitude and longitude aren’t normally shown on the page, I think you may have made a mistake in the custom template.

Can you post a link to the event?

    Thread Starter nanettedp

    (@nanettedp)

Sure, here is an example of an event:

before I made any custom templates the latitude and longitude showed. I.e. for all my events it shows and always did.
It would be great if you can help me get to the bottom of this. Thanks!

Sorry, I am struggling to paste another example with the ‘link’ button:
    The URL is: http://guardtheirheart.co.za/events/homeschool-special-at-foresthill-icerik-2016-08-05/

I’m not seeing latitude or longitude on the page or in the source code of the page. This means the problem is something to do with the way Facebook is importing the content.
