Auto fix not working

    Hello,

    We have just downloaded your plugin and run the complete scan, which has found two known threats. However, when we click the auto fix button, the window that pops up just keeps saying that it is still loading. We left it for a good 5 minutes, but no luck. When we clicked the button that said if it is taking too long click here, it took us to view the file, but then nothing happened. We could only close the window but the file was not cleaned.

    We opened a new tab and checked the quarantine folder, but nothing was there. We started a new scan in case the threats had been cleaned up anyway, but the same threats were still found by the scanner. We tried auto fixing whilst the scan was still running, but nothing happened then either.

    We also disabled wordfence, in case their firewall was causing an issue, but again it did not solve the problem. Of course we can manually delete the two files ourselves, but it is a shame that the auto fix feature is not working for us, in case in the future we have a larger number of threats found.

    The auto-fix does not delete the files it only removes the malicious content from the files because there may be good code in those files that your site needs to function properly.

    I’m not sure why it’s not working on your site. When you click the “Taking too long” button it should show you the results, even if there are errors you should at least see what the error is. You should check your server’s error_log files to see why the fix is not working.
