If I require an account, how is it handled with PP Express?

    I require them to make an account but they use PP express does it make an account for them?

    I sent out 43 orders from last weekend. all but 1 person used PP express without any account creation. Which means that they can’t access their order to get tracking information because essentially there isn’t a user account created. Talk about your customer service nightmare.

    Anyways…If I force account creation will PP express create the account with their details or do they still have to fill out the long form? What’s the difference between PPE account required and PPE no account required? How does that work?

    In the general WooCommerce checkout settings is an option for Guest Checkout. If that is disabled then the Express Checkout review page would force them to create an account.

    Even when enabled, the review page should be displaying the option to create the account, but it wouldn’t be forced with guest checkout enabled.

    Please look into that setting and let me know if that helps.

    Thank you although the question comes back to…Do they have to fill out the long form or is it populated from Paypal? If they have to fill out the long form anyways I don’t see how PP Express is beneficial…but I could still be missing something here.

    No, they don’t have to fill out the long form. It would use the details provided by the PayPal account they log in to.

    You can set everything up in sandbox mode and give it a quick test if you want to see how the experience is.
