• Ever since I added the Flag counter code into a text widget on my right side-bar I can’t access that text widget the Flag counter code is in and all the widgets below it.

By not being able to access widgets I mean the widgets that can’t be accessed show up on the widget dashboard in a bullet form with a bullet to the left of each widget. It looks like this: http://lohrman.com/blogimage/RightSideBar.jpg

It seems like the Flag counter code has disabled access to it’s widget and all widgets below it on the right side bar. Anyone know how to fix this problem? I’d delete the text widget with the Flag count code if I could.

I’m using WP 2.7 and the blog that has this problem is at http://photographyforrealestate.net

  • Go to your website and remove the “Flag counter” widget manually from your blog … see if that corrects the current issue.

By “remove” I mean: FTP to you website; navigate to your plugins folder under wp-content; delete the Flag counter folder.

@cais- thanks for the suggestion. Problem is the Flag counter stuff isn’t a widget, itself it’s just some HTML code that I put into a text widget.

My bad, I misread your OP. I imagine you have tried to simply drag the widget(s) out of the sidebar field?

(Personally when all else fails I start digging into the code/database to sort out odd issues such as these, its also not something I would recommend to many to attempt.)

Although it may not fix the problem, have you considered doing a complete site/blog backup and then upgrading to 2.8? There is more widget control in 2.8 than in 2.7
