• Hi, I’ve been using WP for a couple of years, and although I’m not a pro, I’ve always been able to solve my problems with little effort and Google, together with this forum. However, I have been trying for two weeks now to solve my latest problem, but I can’t think anymore.

On my site I have around 1000 posts, but to keep them organized by categories I installed a plugin (I prefer not mentioning the title at the moment) to reorganize my posts into the different categories. At first everything was fine, but then suddenly I couldn’t get into my posts page by clicking on “All posts”. I de-activated the plugin, and everything was back to normal. However, as soon as I uninstalled the plugin, there is no way for me getting back into “All posts”. I keep on getting an error message that “www.mysite is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500”. I can add new posts, and when I enter the URL of a specific post, it shows up without any problem. I just cannot see a complete list of all my posts on my All Post page. My “All pages” page is working fine. I have de-activated all plugins, and I have activated other themes, but to no avail.
Is there anyone who can give me some advice in this regard?

    Thank you.

  • Have you tried resaving your permalinks as well? That could be an issue possibly based on the details you provided above. Hope this helps resolve your issue.

Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks. Click save button

I recently faced the same issue and the problem I diagnosed was the recent installed and activated plugin, if you can access your WordPress dashboard, then deactivate that particular plugin, if you cannot access your dashboard page at all, then you must remove the recent plugin entry from the database table wp_options, option name ‘active_plugins’ and then your WordPress dashboard page will be accessible. Hope that helps.

Hi guys, thank you for your responses.

Will Schmierer – I double-checked my permalinks, and they are all working. The problem is that I can go to a post through entering the permalink, but I cannot get to my list of posts under “all posts”. I keep getting an Error 500.

ShopMeGood – I did in fact remove the plugin, and it’s only after having done so, that I cannot get to my posts list page.
