How to use another changes.xml?

    In the good old 1.5 beta days, you could specify which location to use for updating the links in WordPress. This seems to have vanished, there’s only a checkbox to enable / disable the updating, but no more field to specify where from. Come to think of it, I can’t specify for how long the “fresh” links should be marked…

    The corresponding prefs are still there in the database, but it looks like the front end to modify them has been zapped. Any insights from the devs as to why this happened? Is it coming back? Or should I whip up a plugin for it?

    The point is, I’ve created an alternative to weblogs.com (that uses RSS instead of the pings), but I can’t just go out and recommend it to WordPress users…
