  • Hello,

If the transfer was made correctly nothing could break.
Does the Maintenance page work incorrectly or plugin options via dashboard? What exactly was broken?

Thank you for your response. The plugin looks broken in the dashboard. I uninstalled it, deleted the files, and when I went to install it again, I got this error message:
Download failed. SSL certificate problem: self signed certificate

Why would I get this message? Would this be a hosting issue?

Now the plugin allowed me to uninstall, and re-install it, but it still looks broken in the dashboard. I do not see the green/red ON/OFF button at all. Any ideas?

    Hi,

I can recommend you to delete Maintenance plugin with all its files and reinstall it once more.

Thank you. I tried using a different theme, and then the plugin displayed correctly in the dashboard. The odd thing is that the plugin looked fine on my local server using the theme in question, but was broken using that theme on the remote server. The theme in question is Brown. Any other ideas on what is happening?

    Hi,

If the plugin displayed correctly with other themes then the problem is not with the plugin.
Do you use the same theme version on your local server and live?
Do you use any other plugins? Do they have any issues? Or maybe you modified theme files?
It could be anything from missing closing tag in theme files to database migrations issues if you transfered your website from local server.

You can provide additional information, like screenshots or access and we’ll try to fix it:

    Hello,

First, in response to your questions, I was using the same theme version on both the local server and live site, so that’s why it was such a mystery why it was working on the local one, but not the live one.

I was using other plugins, and those also were giving problems with the current theme in the live site.

I did not modify any theme files.

It was quite a mystery to me, but the theme developer went in and did something, and now everything works fine in the live site.

Thank you for offering to help to try to fix it. Also, I really like the plugin. It is great!

    Regards.

    Hi,
