Hello there, and thank you for trying out our plugin!

Well, for starters, if the images are being resized correctly on the iPad they should probably be resized in the absolute same way in the iPhone, because the method is the same.

But you might have possibly come across some peculiar case.

Could you point me to the url of your website, so that I can take a look at the images that are produced?

    Cheers,
    Takis

    Hello, again,

I made some tests and it all seems to be working fine. The images are being resized correctly in all device dimensions according to your settings.

Perhaps what you are seeing is not actually an issue but a combination of your settings. For instance, it seems that you have the “Landscape orientation” enabled. With this setting the plugin takes into account the bigger dimension of each device and it is possible that bigger images are produced than those expected. However, these settings are totally up to you to decide.

Perhaps you could tell me how you detected the problem you mention for the iPhone?

    Cheers,

I have iPhone 6 iOS 9.3.1 and using Safari on that shows me images that are very elongated vertically (disproportionate). They have never shown correctly. I actually changed the landscape setting to see if it would fix the problem but didn’t seem to do anything. I did check the sizes as listed in the plug-in and it really makes no sense since it works fine on my iPad. ??!!

    Any other ideas? Thanks Takis

Ah, now I see what you mean! Well this is a CSS related problem. Your CSS defines the width of an image but it does not define its height proportionally. This means that our plugin sends a resized smaller version of the image to the browser but the browser is instructed to stretch it.

I have created a screenshot that explains the problem with a proposal to add a line of CSS to images that corrects the problem. Here it is: http://prntscr.com/b1m6rh, however although this is a very common practice I cannot be certain whether it will play well with all the other parts of your website.

Let me know if you need anything else!

    Cheers,
    Takis
