Receiving 'The request was redirected' using Basic Auth

Using Basic Authentication from Postman, with
http://chiptown.it/wp-json/wp/v2/users/me endpoint, results:‘Status 200 Ok’
If I try to authenticate from a web page using JQuery, I get:
view link (correct credentials)
view link (incorrect credentials)
And with angularJs (ionic app), I get the same result:
See “The request was redirected” and I do not back the JSON …
