• Hi Guys, new to the forum so please feel free to push me in the right direction if I wander off the path but I paid a guy to create a website for me on WP & after a bit of design previews and a few unanswered calls he is nowhere to be found, as you can imagine not a happy bunny 🙁

Anyway I have installed wp 4.5.1 along with the Serif lite theme & have managed to coble something together.
What I would like to do now is change a logo on the main page to download a brochure when clicked See inspiration http://s613765473.websitehome.co.uk
Also on each page I have added a pdf & deg logo, I would like these to download the relevant drawings when clicked http://s613765473.websitehome.co.uk/cills

    Any help is much appreciated.

  • Hi,

Are these graphics added in pages/posts, or in text widgets?

Firstly, you’ll need to upload the PDFs to the media library. Then, if they are in pages/posts, you can click on the image and use the “add link” button to paste in the URL of the file.

If they are in a text widget, you’ll need to use some HTML. So for example:

    <a href="http://URLofPDF.pdf"><img src="http://URLofLogo.jpg"></a>

And obviously replace those two URLs with the appropriate ones.

    I hope that helps!

    Cheers
    Tessa
