• Hi, hope you can help.

I have had a 3rd party install a new theme and some plugins for me on my WP site. The WP site was installed by me using ‘Fantastico’ in my cPanel, and was untouched apart from that. I created a FTP account for the 3rd party which gave them access to the root of my domain (nothing else on there)…

They carried out the work for me successfully and everything is fine. I have deleted their FTP account they used, but to be ‘ultra’ secure, are there any other settings I should change in WP to be sure all is OK (wp-config.php settings, database table names etc.)?

Thank you for any help with the above,

    MickWP.

    Hi again,

One more thing I should add is that the WordPress version is 2.8…

    Thanks again,

    MickWP.

    Hi again,

Any recommendations with this problem at all?

    Thank you.

Change all your passwords (web hosting/ftp, WordPress, MySQL database).

    Hi iridiax,

    Thanks for the reply.

I have changed the Admin login for WP, and cancalled their FTP account. How would I change the MySQL database password, and what are the implications on WordPress when I do this?

Do I have to worry that any of my ‘keys’ need changing if they have looked in wp-config.php, or doesn’t that matter?

    Again, thanks for any help,

    MickWP.
