Support » Plugin: Sticky Menu & Sticky Header » ANNOUNCEMENT: version 2.0 is imminent!

  • Hello everyone,

Just a quick note that version 2.0 of the plugin is currently near completion and I hope to have it ready for testing within a few days, and then for general release about a week later.

    It contains the following bugfixes:

    • fix for a bug where dropdown menus don’t show the submenu as soon as they become sticky (this is the Big One that’s been bugging me, and many users, for a long time)
    • fix for bug where the sticky element’s width/height was rounded down
    • fix for bug where there would be a notification for the pushup element in debug mode
    • fix for bug where Owl Carousel would misbehave
    • fix for bug where Easy Smooth Scroll would misbehave

    And the following new options:

    • option to select space between the sticky element and the pushup element
    • Added CSS box to add styles for the sticky element (not 100% sure about this yet though)

(The often-requested option to have more than one element sticky will not be implemented in this version yet, as it’s a whole different, complex beast. It will be addressed in the next version, which I’ll start working on right after 2.0 is done, in a couple of weeks.)

If you have any other bugs that I have missed, please leave a message below and I’ll see if I can sneak those in as well.
Also let me know if you would like to try and help to test the beta version once it’s ready! Not “test test”, but using it in your site to see if it’s all working properly.

    Cheers,
    mS

  • Hi Mark,
Noticed a bug that only shows itself in IE 11 when there are named anchors on the page. The result is that the anchors work randomly. When I disable this plugin, the anchors work consistently.
Here’s the page where we find the issue: http://www.clearcreekdistillery.com/products/clear-brandies/
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Doug

@floatmarketing Since your header is always sticky (not just on scrolling), I would actually suggest to not even use the plugin at all. Instead, make the header constantly sticky by assigning “position:fixed” to #products-header.

I think that will also fix the problem you reported, but if it’s still there, you should check with the theme creator.
