    Hi,

I was just wondering if there’s a filter or another way of removing the TinyMCE ‘Insert Icon’ button from the WP editor for certain roles?

I would like it to be visible for admins and editors for example, but I have a custom role with limited capabilities and I would like those users to not see the ‘Insert Icon’ button.

    Thanks,
    Ben

    Hide there, great question!

Luckily the plugin provides you with just the filter you would need to make this happen: bfa_init_args. This filter takes the initialization args as it’s one parameter, so you can just filter the load_tinymce_plugin attribute conditionally based on your desired role/capabilities conditional logic. I could see adding this to the plugin interface, however you’re the first person out of 20,000+ active installs to request it 🙂 Let me know if you need more guidance on this one. . .
