    Since the last two plugin updates I get strange error messages (too technical for me!) and mostly failed backups.

    What’s going wrong?

    Neither error message makes any sense to me. Sorry for my ignorance…

    To decrease the likelihood of overlaps, increasing resumption interval to: 352 + 120 = 472 (Apr 18 14:59:36)

    Adding batch to zip file (UpdraftPlus_BinZip): over 25 MB added on this batch (25 MB, 10915 files batched, 381 (2131) added so far); re-opening (prior size: 128656.7 KB) (Apr 22 13:09:13)

    I’m not using scheduled backups, only manually activated ones, after every major blog update (new post or media files added).

    I haven’t run the latest WP update to 4.5 yet because I would like to have recent backup first [sic].

    Hi,

    Neither of those is an error message. Please can you paste the whole log file, so that we can take a look and make a suggestion?

    Or, you might just want to go into the ‘expert’ section of the settings, and reduce the ‘split’ setting found there down to 100Mb, on the supposition that the server’s struggling to deal with large zip files.

    The last backup ended with

    4591.836 (9) No email will be sent – this backup set was empty.

    So something went wrong!
    Since I have only limited storage I deleted it and started again; it looks like the most recent one went through okay.

    Hi,

    That line isn’t found in the log file that you’ve attached – it appears to be from a different log/different backup. Please can you attach the log file of a backup that you’re having a problem with?

    As I stated: “Since I have only limited storage I deleted it and started again” I can’t think of an easy way to retrieve that log file (doesn’t it get deleted together with the backup?)

    If you point me in the right direction I can go searching…

    Hi,

    OK. Probably best just to open a new thread if you have a future issue, since it seems like the data for investigating the previous one is gone. (The log file that was attached shows a successful backup, so there are no clues in there).
