Embedded player no longer showing after upgrade

    The embedded player does not appear after upgrading from 1.14.4 to 1.14.5. I updated to 1.14.6 in hopes that this would solve the issues. However, still no luck. Although the embedded player is no longer displaying, the options to download or play in a new window still work, but the player is gone.

    Any ideas on how to get the embedded player to appear?

    So, I inspected the Podcast page and the player indicated “visibility: hidden” in the css.

    As a workaround, I added “visibility: visible” css for the .wp-audio-shortcode.

    Although this worked, I would like to understand why this might have happened. Could it be that some other CSS is making this happen? Just interesting that it didn’t happen until I did the SSP version upgrade.

    That won’t be coming from SSP as that CSS isn’t anywhere in the plugin. It could be that another plugin is bringing that in (or possibly your theme), but that’s impossible for me to know.

    Your CSS fix will sort it out of course, but unfortunately I can’t offer any further insight into the cause.

    Thanks Hugh for looking at it. I agree that it is not an issue with SSP.
