Events Calendar, blank event detail page

    Hi Events Calendar Experts,
    I am using WordPress 4.5 and Events Calendar 4.1.2.
    Permalinks is set to post name. When I click on a single event
    it leads me to a blank page. The title of the page is right.
    The menu is wrong and the page itself is empty.
    Two questions. Why is the page empty, the permalink (including the post/event)
    is correct. I could not find a single-event.php somewhere if that is a clue.
    Secondly, why is the menu on the event detail page a link to all my pages
    rather than than the menu I specified (I only have one menu/navigation).

    Hi Bob,

    Is this a publicly accessible and if so can you share a url to the site and to page(s) that demonstrate the issue.

    Have you tried with a base WordPress theme like TwentyFifteen or TwentySixteen?

    Disable all other plugins perhaps and try again?

    Of if it’s not accessible perhaps submit a sequence of screenshots and say if you have tried some of the above?

    Hi Sean,
    no worries. its here: http://spd.327499.de.hosting.internet1.de/ if you click on “Termine” one particular item. It lead nowhere. I am using the Layser SWP theme.

    Hi. You might need to edit your Display Settings to change your Events Template option.

    Please let us know how things go for you.

    Hi Clifford!
    Awesome, the menu/navigation/design is the same now. I had to change to my custom layer SWP template. but the event is still empty. I did reset permalink by changing to a different type, saving and going back to “post” type and savings.

    Hey Bob,

    Have you tried turning on WP_DEBUG to see if there are any errors on the page?

    Also, you can check your theme to see if there is a “tribe-events” folder that has a custom version of single-event.php file. There could be a customization there that is now causing an issue.

    I got it. I had the wrong page tempalte selected in my Layers SWP.
