[resolved] 2.8.3 ruined child-theme (4 posts)

    I have a child theme with nothing in it but for some reason it is not picking up on the style.css.

    I'm assuming this has to do with the following change (from changelog):

    Even faster loading, thanks to minified and concatenated styles and scripts.

    A child theme has nothing in it, just the standard:

    @import url("../decode/style.css");

    Everything works but it seems like the style.css isn't working at all as nothing looks proper. Any idea how to fix this?

    Yes, it has totally botched child themes and I apologize greatly for this. I've already submitted a fix, but you can download it now here: https://github.com/ScottSmith95/Decode/releases/tag/2.8.4

    Shit happens. The quick fix just shows what great support you're giving and how awesome this theme is, so no worries at all.

    Thank you!

    Thanks, I appreciate the understanding. Hopefully the fix rolls out to all users soon.
