Hi bilzjkhan,
when you set the author condition then the current post/page is checked again it. So it allows you to set the ad only for posts from a specific author and should therefore cover your workflow.
One tip: when you put all the ads that are author-based in a group, you only need one content injection of te group. This makes it also easier to handle the setup.
Thomas
Thanks for your reply; one more thing? my website is completely closed for non-login users, its a forum and non-login users can’t even view the questions or answers? now my question is; when i display ads for an author on all his posts, will other forum members will see them? the ads should be visible to every one who is logged in, but each author should display his own ads. Also can i get any author based or display condition based report of views and download it as CSV?
The Author Display Condition is used to display ads based on the current post’s author. This does not mean that only that author – as a logged in user – can see it.
Example: I, Thomas, write posts and set up an ad with an Author Condition saying that it should only be visible in posts which I wrote.
If you want to display ads for a specific user group, you might want to check out the Visitor Conditions. There is also a condition to limit ads by user capabilities.
The Tracking add-on does not log conditions for each impression for performance reasons so there is unfortunately no way to export such data as author-based.
Thanks
Thomas
