    Never mind. It’s not even wp-members that I was using. It just says that in my admin panel. I tried to delete this post, but it won’t let me.

    That restriction comes from WordPress multisite, not a plugin (there is no such restriction in single install WordPress).

    Multisite restricts usernames to lowercase letters and numbers only, it cannot be all numbers, and it must be 4 characters minimum but less than 60.

    This is done by the WP function wpmu_validate_user_signup(). Any errors generated by the function can be overridden using the wpmu_validate_user_signup filter but that would not be recommended – multisite implements these restrictions because usernames are uses in URLs in the network.
