    I have the same issue…

good luck, I’ve been waiting for a month for a reply

OK – so, my workaround for this is to only sync ‘Subscribers’. That works fine.

    Hi all,

Please note that the plugin will not auto-sync right away, it can take up to one hour before your changes are reflected in MailChimp. This is important as to not slow down your website itself, or being blocked by MailChimp for excessive requests their way.

In all other cases, there should be an error in the debug log on MailChimp for WP > Other.

Hope that helps. If not, let me know!

Question: Is auto-sync only sync new subscribers?… or does it sync the whole user base?… I’m thinking of using this on a site with more than 1,000 users and it seems excessive to auto-sync all users every hour. Thanks.

On the flip side, does manual sync work the same way?

    Hi Bowo,

The plugin is smart about synchronizing changes to MailChimp, it will only kick-in if something actually changed in your WP user database. Furthermore, the delay is there to prevent the process from firing too soon (for example when someone is still editing their profile).

The Manual Sync on the flip side will re-synchronize everyone in your database, which is why that should be used sparingly (just once, ideally).

Hope that helps. If not, let me know!

    Hi Danny,

Thanks for the swift reply. That’s good news. I do agree manual whole data sync needs to be done once (at the beginning) only.

One more question: a big chunk of the user data is actually similar to Mailchimp’s data, with some part of the WP data probably being stale/outdated during development. With manual sync, which data gets updated when? i.e. if I setup the webhook so the sync is bidirectional, does the plugin recognize which data field(s) for each user is newer and then use that as the source of the sync?

    Thanks!

    Hi Danny,

I can’t tell you how much I love your plug in! It saves me so much time! But I just sent out my first email blast since installing it and I got a huge number of bounced emails to accounts I know are good and I got a big number of unsubscribes, which I rarely get. I knew, for sure, there was a problem when an unsubscribe came from one of my email addresses and I am the only person who has access to it. I have been super busy and haven’t been able to look into this and today I got another unsubscribe from myself from a different list. Can you help me with this?

    Thanks so much!
