Image uploader in editor not work on 2.8

    Hello Guys,

    When I add a new post, click the add image button and upload some images through the flash, now comes the problem. NO thumbnails are generated, the images not go in to the media library. Nothing seem to happens as you can see from the screenshot below:

    But the files are there in upload folder in the server just it doesn’t associate with anything. And I can’t insert it to the post nor I can find any in the media library.

    But from the admin sidebar -> media -> add new, I can upload the stuff into the library. That is strange!

    I have this same issue in a number of sites. Some clean 2.8 installations and some upgrade from 2.7 which work before.

    Any help? Please…

    That can’t help my problem. My issue is:

    From the post editor uploader, images can get uploaded BUT NO thumbnail generated and not found in media library. NO GOOD

    From the media library uploader, images can get uploaded and thumbnail generated and can be found in media library. Good

    I still can’t figure out why is there a different behavior as i believe both method calls the same flash uploader and php functions…

    Just do some more testing, I find that the image uploading from editor not work when the post is not yet get saved as draft/published. Otherwise it works fine, but that is different from the behavior I have with WP 2.7……
