    Hi,
Please excuse the basic question. I’m new at this and would really appreciate some help. Here’s my problem:

My web site was recently transferred from Blogger to WP (self-hosted if it makes a difference). When I look at the Media Library, it shows a bunch of duplicated images (or what I think are duplicated images. They are the same filename, type, size, so I’ll assume they are duplicates.)

How can I figure out which ones are tied to posts so that I can remove the others without messing things up?

Thank you for any help you can give!

This may work https://wordpress.org/plugins/media-deduper/ but I’ve never used it

    Hi,
Thanks for the help! The person who set this up for me told me to stay away from plug-ins as he says they might interfere (and I don’t know enough about this to be able to fix it if one does interfere)

Is there a way to figure out which images are being “used” other than looking at the “Uploaded To” column in the Media Library? I only have about 50 images right now and not all of them are duplicated, so I was just hoping to go through them by hand and sort this out.

    Thank you for your help!
