    Hi,

I did look at other topics with reference to manual backup failing but believe this may be different.

The manual backup has stopped working since version 3.3.3 on sites running PHP 5.3.3 though the automated process still works.

When I switched up to higher versions of PHP (5.4 and above) it worked fine.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Andy

Sorry I am just now seeing this Andy …

That’s interesting and I hadn’t heard that from others, but I have seen more reported issues of the manual backup process failing lately. I wonder if there is a command that doesn’t work as well in the older PHP version. The plugin is supposed to work on servers running PHP 5.3.2 or later.

We did have a stray command, caught a few releases back, that wasn’t backwards compatible.

Has updating to 3.6.1 helped fix this at all for you? Or since you upgraded the php version have you had an occasion to try it out again?

    Hi Kat,

Yes since 3.6 it started working without problem again. I think 3.6 addressed some of the backward compatibility issues if my memory of your changelog is correct.

    Thanks for your help.
