    Hello,
when analysing my shop with google chrome, the “network” tab says that admin-ajax.php has a waiting time (TTFB) of about 2.5 seconds.

To get better results, I installed the Heartbeat control plugin and enabled heartbeat only on post edit pages and 60 seconds. But unformtunately it changed nothing.

So I disabled ALL plugins except Heartbeat Control and Woocommerce. Now the waiting time is still 1 second which is still to much. Any ideas how to get this fixed?
    Many thanks in advance!

Just found out that my theme affects admin-ajax.php. I will contact the theme authors but in the past they could never really help me with similar issues. Do you have any ideas what to do to prevent the theme from overriding?
    Many thanks in advance!

Most AJAX is still going to use admin-ajax.php. Heartbeat Control doesn’t prevent all AJAX, just the heartbeat from running.

The main difference being if admin-ajax.php is still being called after the page is loaded, and the window is idle.

I do not fully understand what you mean, does that mean if theme still call Admin-ajax.php, it will still cause the site need more time to load?
