    I then did the manual 3 steps.

    your blog is
   never gone as long as your database is intact or you have a back up

   After that when trying to access my blog [http://www.jeffpinkham.com](http://www.jeffpinkham.com)
   I get the following message Http 500 teh website cannot display the page Cheers

 * delete the .htaccess in wordpress root
    does site work now? if so, regenerate
   permalinks admin – settings – permalinks

 * That did not make a blind bit of difference
    still nothing working after delete
   of .htaccess
