# 2.8 jQueryUI – tabs help!

 * I recently upgraded my wordpress installation ([http://www.projectormonkey.com](http://www.projectormonkey.com))
   from 2.7.1 to 2.8, and when I did so, I found that the jQuery UI tabs on my theme
   stopped working. The tabs that I used were based on this tutorial: [http://net.tutsplus.com/javascript-ajax/create-a-tabbed-interface-using-jquery/](http://net.tutsplus.com/javascript-ajax/create-a-tabbed-interface-using-jquery/)
 * I have read that the problem could be due to an update to the jQuery and jQueryUI
   libraries within the WP 2.8 update, however I have tried for hours and hours 
   now to fix the problem with no luck whatsoever. I have even tried to get the 
   tabs to work on a blank html document, including the jquery files needed from
   the WP includes folder (files: ui.core.js ui.tabs.js and jquery.js), however 
   the tabs still did not work which confused me even more so.
 * Does anyone have any idea whatsoever what the problem could be? Is any one using
   any tab function successfully in WP 2.8 that they could recommend instead of 
   jQuery? I am completely stumped here so hopefully someone can help me out.

 * Issue resolved (sort of)
 * I’ve simply included the old jQuery and jQuery UI files in my wordpress header..
   not ideal but its the only easy workaround I’ve got!
