2.7rc1 Visual Editor problems

    I have an .rtf file which I want to put into a Page. I copy the text from the .rtf file and paste into the page using the ‘Copy from text’ button. I click ‘Update Page’ and all seems well. With the ‘Visusl’ tab chosen, I add a space between the colon(:) and the J in the text string ‘August 2: Jim Doe’. Click ‘Update Page’ again and all the text following the new space disappears.

    Similar disappearance occurred when pasting text created the à character and deleting it caused the remaining text to vanish.

    Any suggestions? or possible causes?

    Using MacBook Pro running Leopard, FF3, only two plugins: ‘Collapsing Categories’ and ‘WordPress Database Backup’.
