Hi! Thanks for this great plugin. I’ve, however, noticed some problems with the plugin which are as follows:

    1. Full post, and not just the excerpt, is being emailed to users.

    2. Shortcodes are not being rendered even though “Short Code Processing” option has been selected.

I’m putting the post in between the shortcode as
[shortcode] Post [/shortcode]. This shortcode just presents the post in a nice box. But in email sent to user, whole the post is send with shortcodes unrendered.

What can be the reason for these issues? Am I missing something vital?

    Regards!

I just did some testing of what you’ve reported and I am unable to replicate the problem. Excerpts, as long as there is content in the post’s excerpt field, work as they should. When requesting an excerpt via the WordPress API, if it is empty, the plugin will fall back to the full post content.

As for the shortcode issue, you should see the results of the shortcode procesing in the message preview presented before you hit the send button. If the shortcode is not being processed there may be something (e.g. another plugin) interfering with do_shortcode() which is called for posts and excerpts as long the setting is enabled.

Marking resolved due to inability to replicate and lack of additional information.
