best choice for permalink settings

    please advise a best settings > permalink > common settings choice for a retail business website consisting of images, text, and shopping cart buttons.

    most importantly it is pages only with no posts or blogs.

    have narrowed it down to 1. post name 2. custom structure /%postname%/ 3. custom structure / 4. other alternatives

    any input helpful

    It is good to use the post name structure for your case i guess if it was a blogs or posts it would be better to use the month and year structure

    thanks for your interest.
    yes, a helpful guide.
    have started with the “post name” option to keep it simple, but found the trailing slashes disappear when using slug field with yoast seo.
    read some previous forums on this, but uncertain of the answer.
    not sure if i even need them or not, so just getting started i am using the recommended hyphens, and not entering trailing slashes.

    My blog using slug with year/month/postname and it’s also not harm my seo, all the keyword rank well, so you can use just postname or year base is okey, no problem !
