I am admittedly very new to WordPress. I have a few big (or little? I’m not sure) modifications I’d like to make to the home page layout of my storefront site that I’m working on. It is running the Outlet child theme. I’ve searched for hours on end and still can’t seem to figure out how to make these changes. Hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.

Basically I’d like to take this (existing):

    And turn it into this:

I’m only making a few adjustments:
    1. Removing the header graphic and just leaving the primary navigation bar across the top.
    2. Moving the cart and search to primary navigation.
    3. Moving the secondary navigation from the top right of the header to the top right of the page.
    4. Modifying the accent colors in the content box and side navigation (in the theme this is called the homepage menu).

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

For a start you would need to create a header template in your theme and then customize header in it with some css.

After that you can call that header file in all your pages, using page.php page template file.

To change the color combination of the content, you would have to edit style.css or add custom css using a plugin or manually
