Transferred site to new host but content won't show up.

    Hi, i transferred a client’s site to x10Premium host from JustHost and i have uploaded all the website’s files (including wp, plugins etc) through cpanel’s file manager and recreated the mysql databases, edited wp-config.php etc, but when i try to visit the site it automatically redirects to /wp-admin/install.php and asks me to reinstall wordpress..
    So i did that as i wasn’t sure what else to do and now it loads the site but without any of the content i transferred/uploaded eg blog posts, menus, pages etc. I see that the plugins, themes etc show up on wordpress dashboard but they’re disabled.

    So can you let me know what could be wrong and what i need to do so the site’s content shows up properly as before the transfer?

    Content is drawn using database

    First using phpMyadmin in Cpanel, see if there are two databases present.
    Then open up wp-config.php, please make a backup before editing it
    try to connect to the old database by entering the required information
    DB Name, DB Host etc in wp-config.

    Thanks for your reply. I’ve already edited the wp-config file to use the correct db name, username, password etc but still the old content, posts etc won’t show up and it just asks me to reinstall wordpress. Any other ideas?

    Btw i forgot to mention that the 2 databases i’ve uploaded show a much smaller size now than they showed on the previous host. The normal size should be 17mb and 218mb but now they only show 3mb and 0mb accordingly on the mysql databases tab. Could it be that they didn’t upload properly? Although i remember getting a message that they were imported successfully. Any ideas?

    It’s ok i figured it out, i just had to unzip the database file first before uploading it to cpanel..
