manually generating download link

How can I manually create a one-off free download link for a product to send it to somebody, without turning the product into a free product or setting up a coupon code? WooCommerce allows this at product level. It’s handy if you just want to give people access to content as a thank-you, or because they’ve accidentally lost their original download etc.

Doesn’t seem to be possible with EDD, which is strange.
