• When using

tags in a post if you switch between the Visual tab and the HTML tab all indent/space formatting is lost.

This is something that worked fine on WordPress 2.7.1 but fails on 2.8, as you can imagine this is a real pain if you are trying to post snippets of code or anything else that requires spaces/tabs for formatting. I am hoping there is a quick fix for this.

    Thanks,

    Jon

  • It’s never a good idea to switch between the Visual and HTML tabs because some formatting may be lost. Just stick to one tab or the other.

I am afraid this is not a bug in wordpress 2.8. However, first check your mailpress settings. Also try disabling the plugin..

I dont want to sound like a whinger, but it can be done in WordPress 2.7.1, it worked before the upgrade. When i am formatting my content I need to switch between both tabs. That is how I work.

Just did some more digging. This is being caused by a plugin, SyntaxHighlighter Evolved.

With wordpress now doing it’s own Syntax Hightlighting in the code editor, is that feature available to us?
