NextGEN Gallery 1.3.3 Breaks RSS in WP 2.8

    Hello,

    Thank you for your hard work on NextGEN Gallery!

    Please note that NGG 1.3.3 breaks RSS in WordPress 2.8. If I deactivate NGG, then my site’s RSS feed works fine. But when NGG is active, the RSS feed is broken.

    I believe this is because there are perhaps some tags that are not being closed out properly somewhere, and as such the RSS parser is breaking because the content is spilling out into the RSS structure (this is just a guess).

    P.S. NGG is currently activated, so you should see that the site’s main RSS is broken

    FF3 shows no fault, IE8 has a problem… Maybe it’s due to the alt/title text, please remove it for a test from the first blog post

    Ok, removed it from the first post, went to that post in IE8, still fails when clicking the RSS button.

    W3C validator fails as well.

    Then, I saw that the error the validator was throwing was for a specific post (there was a random, extra question mark someplace), so I changed the status of that post to Draft.

    Now the W3C validator shows that it’s valid, but IE8 still gives an error rather than showing the feed.

    IE8 does work ok if you go into a particular post and select the RSS for the post’s comments, but the general RSS for the site doesn’t work until I turn off NGG.

    Well, I’m very sorry to have wasted your time…I went to the one post that I hid temporarily and, like I said, the feed (on the W3C validator) was showing an extra question mark.

    I edited the post in HTML mode, and although I couldn’t see the question mark, I just deleted everything after the NGG code until my text started.

    After re-saving the post, the feed now works.

    Again, sorry about that.
