Failed to Write File to Disk

    I am suddenly getting an error every time I try to upload media onto my site. It says, “Failed to write file to disk.”

    How can I fix this?

    Hi kperry1384!

    It sounds like the permissions may not be correct; I would recommend reaching out to your hosting company about that.

    @kperry1384,

    Most likely your server is out of space. It could also be a permissions issue though as mentioned by Jose above…

    Hi kperry1384,

    Make sure you have necessary permissions assigned to folder “wp-content/uploads”. You can also contact your web hosting provider to assign necessary folder permissions.
