You’ve run into a bug that appears on IIS:
http://mosquito.wordpress.org/view.php?id=903
Lazy jinx…
Wow this last link work! But can I do to put this link in the WP system?
I’m having the same problem. On feedvalidator.org, my url http://www.flavorphoto.com/blog/wp-rss2.php comes back with NOT Found. When I change it to http://www.flavorphoto.com/blog/wp-rss2.php?feed=rss2 it is valid. The only issue is that Bloglines won’t update with my blog. It only pulls in the description of the blog, but none of the posts.
Does anyone have a solution? I’d prefer to use http://www.flavorphoto.com/blog/wp-rss2.php. I’ve seen many sites that have this working and can’t figure out why I’m having a problem. Please help!!!
Sorry about that — I meant http://www.flavorphoto.com/blog/index.php?feed=rss2 is working properly on feedvalidator, but is not updating in bloglines.
I’m having the same exact problem with my feeds.
I’d recommend updating your wp-blog-header.php file to see if that helps (it did for me on my IIS setup):
http://trac.wordpress.org/file/trunk/wp-blog-header.php?rev=2378&format=raw
I updated with that file and I’m still having the same issues with bloglines.
If the problem is RSS link gets a 404 in WordPress 1.5 then 2 things to do. First is the comment at the top about commenting out those 4 lines that call the 404 in the first place… don’t know what its meant to be doing there but getting it out hurt nothing.
Next go to ‘footer.php’. Instead of the href=”php etc” just put in relative urls…
href="wp-rss2.php"
and
href="wp-commentsrss2.php"
in their turn.
RSS will work and you can link to the files and see the RSS documents..
Hope this is what you were looking for …
I am having a problem accessing RSS also. I use WP 1.5 and theme “Pool”. This is the error message:
The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.
