Support » Plugin: WP jQuery Lightbox » rel="nobox" stopped working

The rel=”nobox” functionality stopped working – either with the last plugin update or with the last WP update. It took a while to recognize the problem, therefore I´m not sure which update caused the issue. In fact, it pretty much looks like as if the last changes to the plugin code (which have been made in order to establish compatibility with WP 4.4) caused the issue. Currently, rel=”lightbox” is added even if there is a rel=”nobox” tag – resulting in a rel=”lightbox[xxx] nobox” tag. I´m the only one facing this issue? Any fix?

I’ll take a look when I get around to the next update.

Just tested this and I can not replicate your problem. rel=”nobox” is ignored by lightboxing as expected.

Try the development version here and let me know if there’s any change for you.

Just re-tested the release version and couldn´t reproduce the problem – no idea why that happened (might be a backend change at the hosting provider). Sorry for that – and thanks a lot!

OK, I managed to pinpoint the issue: It seems to be a compatibility issue with WP-Typography. If WP-Typography is active, rel=”nobox” is missing from the actual HTML code delivered to the web browser, instead, a rel=”lightbox[xxx]” is added to the link.
