    Hi,

I am including the screenshots of my plugin settings and stream records.

There is a sharp contrast between what I want and what actually is happening in storing the records.

I am seeing more than 180 days of records even though my settings are set to store only 30 days of records.

Is this behavior normal? How to get rid of the extra records and make sure it doesn’t repeat.

I’d be really happy if you could suggest a resolution. I’ve seen it happening on a few other sites as well. But this one is a bit bulky so it’s a priority.

    Thanks!!

    Hi Pete and htezabwala,

I’ve added this as a bug on our Github repo, I’ll make sure it’s a priority fix for version 3.0.6.

Just adding my voice and my thanks in advance for fixing this! I have 50k rows in the Stream database table. *urk*

Clarification: 9k in the wp_stream table and 50k in the wp_stream_meta table.

    Hey Pete,

Sorry for the delay in fixing. We’ve been on and off working on it, as it appears to be a bit tricky. For some reason the actual purge code itself is fully functional, but it isn’t being triggered via the cron process manager.

I’m working on a fix now and hopefully we’ll have something today.

    Thank you for your patience.

    ok thanks.
yea I was checking yesterday and realised it still wasn’t removing files after a certain date..

    Look forward to a fix.

Oh and someone marked this as RESOLVED.. (Luke???)

    Hey Luke,

Thanks for including the fix to purge functionality. I haven’t tested it yet. However, it might have introduced a new bug.

I am now unable to add the new exclusion rules. Please see the error in console log here – http://prntscr.com/bahv4h

If it is unrelated, please let me know and I will create a new thread for support.

    Thanks again

It is unrelated, but I can confirm that this is a bug. Will try to release a fix today.

I’m confused, Luke. I’m running Stream 3.0.7, but I still have records going back to February on a site that is configured to keep only 30 days.

I tried changing it to 29 days to see if that would kick it into gear.

Do I need to manually remove the old ones before the automatic purging will take effect?

    Thanks
    Donna

Donna, can you please try deactivating and then reactivating Stream? Then wait for 24 hours and see if the records were purged.

Okay, just cycled Stream. Will make a note to check back tomorrow.

    Thanks!
