    Hey there,

I just got the plugin set up – everything’s working AOK for Firefox, Chrome and Safari. But now that the initial setup is done, I’m wondering about all the other platforms you have listed on your site (Windows Phone, Apple iOS, etc.). Do I need to set up those as well?

Also, a feature suggestion: instead of prompting all new site visitors to subscribe to push notifications, it would be great to be able to target regular readers (anyone who visits the site 3 or 4 times) who are far more likely to subscribe than first timers. Just a thought.

    Thanks!

  • Hello Ahni,

Thanks for contacting us! Our push platform supports the above listed platforms beyond web browsers, however our WordPress plugin only sets up web push notifications which will only work on the browsers Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.

If you have an iOS or Android app accompanying your website, you can configure and add it as a platform, and then you can use our dashboard at onesignal.com to send a message targeting users of all platforms.

Regarding your feature suggestion, you may use JavaScript taking advantage of our web SDK API (https://documentation.onesignal.com/docs/website-sdk-api) to customize the subscription process for your users. You can configure the WordPress plugin to not automatically prompt users for notification so that you can build a custom subscription experience.
