    in the CSS style sheet there is only one instance of the color #969696, it is in the Tagline who’s element is .site-description. even if you change it to whatever color, it won’t change, if you look at the page with chromes “Inspect Element” it shows the .site-description as #969696 from the page source but below that it shows the color crossed out (even a freshly uploaded CSS style sheet with no changes, the “inspect element” shows the color crossed out but yet the source code shows it.

    where is the source for this font color? the style sheet is apparently not the source

    CRAP! I found the color change in the Customize Theme, sorry for being an idiot. I could have sworn I looked in Site Colors

    no worries…sometimes when there are a ton of colour settings, it can be easy to miss something. The important thing is that you found it 🙂
