    Hy there,

I am building a website that will have about 5-6 languages (english, german, polish, czech, italian, etc.), and i just installed this plugin and inserted within page the shortcode [gwolle_gb].

But, how to get the plugin working on other languages please?? I tried to put on site [gwolle_de] for german, but without success…
I have installed plugin “Polylang” already for multilingual translations.

    Thanks for a short feedback.
    Best regards,
    Kany

You should use the default shortcode.
You might want to use different parameters for book_id on each language, depending if you want the guestbook entries split into their language.

Languages can be installed through Dashboard > Updates, but not every language you mention is available there.

    Dear Marcel,

regarding this “default shortcode”, could you give me example for few langauges? Where to find a list of languages available that i can use?

I am relaitve new to WP, so try to figure all this out.
    Thanks for a feedback.

Languages can be installed through Dashboard > Updates, but not every language you mention is available there.
    >> if i need eg. italian, and it is not available, what then? Instead, I can put English or what? Thanks.

Polylang should take care of all the translations for WordPress Core.
Then on Dashboard > Updates, you should be able to install all the languages that you selected for each plugin.
Italian and Polish are outdated in this plugin, so not each textstring is translated. You will see the English text there. Maybe you have a colleague that can translate those strings? If so, that is possible on GlotPress.
On the plugin page here, you can see the list of languages that are available through Dashboard > Updates. Some other languages are still using the old way of being included in the plugin, they are not uptodate.

The shortcode is used as [gwolle_gb] or if you want a different guestbook on each page, you can use [gwolle_gb book_id=”2″] and counting up.
Polylang will keep tabs of which language is used on each page, and load the right language files if they are available.
