Installed WP Super Cache – Site still Slow to load

    I installed WP Super Cache Version 1.4.7 2 weeks ago. I used the recommended settings and after testing the cache it came back ok.

    With that said, my website is still loading slow according to Alexa. The speed hasnt changed, still taking 3.18 seconds.

    My site is very light on images, i only have 10 -12 pages total. So this isnt making sense.

    Any help would he appreciated.

    You need to do other optimaztions such as gzip, image compression, time to live, etc., for the site — the caching does not do “everything” —

    best to first optimize your site for speed WITHOUT cache (e.g., test a post with GTmetrix.com — fix issues); then once optimized as much as possible THEN use cache.

    Not sure if that helps or hinders, but some feedback on ‘speed’ 🙂

    Yes it helped, but i have to be honest this is not my expertise. IN fact, it looks like my website has slowed down since I installed WP Supercache. (4.936 Seconds) 93% of sites are faster

    I really need some help here. Not sure why my site is slow, there are minimal pages and not very much heavy content/images..
