missing read more/ continue reading etc on excerpt

Missing the excerpt continue reading line on the post list page. Since other sites I’m using it on all show it, I’m guessing a theme conflict (or just a theme ‘lack’) in the Enigma theme. Does anyone know what might be missing from the theme so I can add it to the child theme?
