• Hi,

Noticed an update and the fact that now a new option to translate attached post metas is there πŸ™‚
Unfortunatelly, it seems that some string that should attach the translations to the post type is somehow missing.

So if you translate some custom metas attached to a custom post type, only the default language works properly. Although the translation seems to be there somehwere it does not get attached to the respective custom post type so when switching languages, for the other than default language one gets a page which is empty of any content.

Now I need to fully deactivate this plugin to have at least something workig properly on the site πŸ™

Is there a place where I could download the older version of the plugin (the one without the meta translations?) At least there the custom post type was there in all languages ….

    Thx

    Hello,

This is the link for the previous version: (1.4.9)

Do you know the name of the key of this custom meta you need to translate? Have you try to select it in the checkboxes at the bottom of the Sublanguage settings?

    Hi,

Thanks for the download link, now it’s working again.
(well, at least my posts are back :))

Yes, I tried to check the boxes, than I tried to uncheck them. Thing is, the very update to the newest version let to to the dissapearence of my content πŸ™

There are so many iterdependencies that it’s difficult to keep track of them all. You just see the results …

I also tried to look in the database but could not identify the cuplrit πŸ™

Maybe in the next version πŸ™‚

    Thanks again!

Thank you for this feed-back. I’ll try to check carefully my custom meta system. Yes multilanguage is hard to deal with because of the so many interdependencies…

I am sure you’ll find the problem in the end. All in all this looks like a solid plugin and I very much like its general buildup so far.

Keep up the great work, it will be the “next big thing” in terms of multilanguage plugins for WP πŸ™‚
