• Answerpress is good in terms of features, but really makes a site slow. Pingdom tools reports about 10 seconds of additional load time when I have this plugin installed – EVEN ON NON ANSWERPRESS PAGES

    Others don’t seem to be experiencing the same, so hopefully this is something that is unique to our set-up and can be solved. If so I will definitely up updating the rating, as answerpress has real promise.

    Already working on this. This will be available in upcoming version. Kindly update your rating.

    There is an option not to load Anspress stuff in NON Anspress pages. Try it.

    Also it is true that Anspress IS demanding. Try to update your PHP version to 7.

    Update to PHP7 isn’t an option on this project unfortunately.
    Where is the option not to load Anspress stuff on non Ans pages? that could make a real difference.

    Great to hear that performance is being worked on.

    Options / Layout:

    Check this to load AnsPress JS and CSS on the AnsPress page only. Be careful, this might break layout.

    Also if Anspress could support some popular caching, it would really make a huge difference.

    Hello MassimoD,
    Yes it does. I am using w3t cache in my site along with AnsPress.

    @rahul

    W3t cache is not a good option for most of us, using shared hosting. Not to mention the huge problems of this crappy plugin.

    Please consider to support also WP Super Cache plugin.

    Thanks

    After checking things more carefully, Anspress DOESN’T support ANY Caching plugin, W3TC included.

    What Rahul means is that the Object and Database caching can be used in W3TC but NOT the Page caching.

    But Object and DB caching is not an option for the majority of us.
