• Hello,

I’ve checked through most of the help sections but I can’t find anything about stopping WP from caching my website

I noticed the WP_Cache setting in advanced-cache.php but am not sure if this is the correct way to disable caching.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as caching is causing the odd error with stripe.

    Thanks,
    Matt

  • No you should never edit WordPress core files. WP Cache shouldn’t give you any problems. Do you have a caching plugin installed? Or maybe there’s a server-side caching plugin in your hosting provider?

You can follow this guide: https://codex.wordpress.org/I_Make_Changes_and_Nothing_Happens

Thanks for the reply Joms. Nope, no other caching plugins. I thought the same so I moved from managed wordpress hosting (Godaddy) to their Linux hosting option which doesn’t have any caching.

Unfortunately some of my customers are still seeing these errors.

I’ll check out the link you sent through.

    Thanks again

If the errors are only happening to your users can you try logging out as admin? You can also try creating a new user with the subscriber role or whatever the users with problems are assigned to. This could be an existing error and not because of caching. Might be worth looking into 🙂

Yeah thanks for that Jom, I’ll keep looking into it 🙂
