• Hi,

Thanks a lot for this smart and good-looking FREE plugin.

Actually for the last 20 hours I was searching and testing plugins on the web hoping to find a way to show statistics in front-end in the footer. The plugin -which is still here in the repository- called Mechanic Visitor Counter was doing the job but looks not any more and not supported.

Is there a way to show to reflect the results we see in the dashboard on the front-end? (Better if we can by shortcodes.)

    Hi cihat74,

There’s no easy way to display reports on the front-end.

Your feature is interesting, but it is not in line with WP Tao strategy.

Which data do you want to display? Can you precisely describe how it should work and look?
It is possible that we will write a WP Tao addon base on your proposal. Of course free!

    Thank you Damian,

I’m now working on a site for a client and I’d like him to see some info about the visitors on his site such as visitors today, yesterday, this week, this month, etc.

I know he can check these by loging and visiting dashboard but I’m sure he won’t. That’s why I thought to show these in a widget in footer.

Actually another free and quite popular plugin Wp Slimstat has a way of doing that which is explained here. At first there was an extra plugin for that but now they integrated the shortcodes to show these numbers on the front-end.

I’ve already tried that. But don’t want to use it because the back-end is not as clear as yours and the shortcodes requires me to spend some hours.

I searched in here, codecanyon and google but to no avail.

And the already mentioned plugin Mechanic Visitor Counter (screenshots here) doesn’t work and isn’t updated any more.

It could be great for me if I could use the results in WP Tao on the front-end or put the dashboard widgets to a popup on the front-end.

By the way, I can localise to Turkish if you like.

    Hi cihat74,

Thanks for description of the new features.

    We decided to help you.
In a few days we will send you a sample code with very simple shortcode. You will put it into functions.php in your child theme or use Pluginception. You will tell us if is what you need. If yes, we will start write completely addon.

    Be patient.

Localise to Turkish sounds good! Thank you very much.
