  • i have the same problem, after the update i geht this message
This contact form has a configuration error

I have the same issue as well. Hopefully an explanation or help will be released soon.

    the same problem
Contact Form 7 4.4 has introduced Configuration Validator, which validates contact form configurations to detect errors leading to mail delivery failure or other troubles.
how you can resolve those errors

Thanks ilectron, but I read that and compared it to my settings and I’m not seeing an error.

    very bad update:\
    my language supports failed….
always in new form, there was an option to choose language. but now?!
    bad Errors in my forms….
for example: “This email address does not belong to the same domain as the site”
    all things lost….

    why????!!!!

The Configuration Validator seems to be a good idea, but just saying there’s an error, but not giving a rough indication of what is causing it is poor.

Presumably if the validator knows there’s an error, then it should be able to say what is tripping it.

I agree, especially when your configuration is all right and testing your forms shows no problems at all. Please come with a solution to delete this error, hopefully during the weekend. 🙂 I can’t believe solid CF7 failed on an update.

Was wondering this myself first but if you continue in on the tabs and look you will see a red error suggestion under the field that seems to be wrong.

Nice to get error suggestions. But I have a forms that work exact as i want so I am not sure if this “error” need attention.

In e-mail setup “From” field i use – [Name] <[Email]> – and after tests this works as I want to display the sender of the form. But now i get the error message “This email address does not belong to the same domain as the site.”

I hope this is noting i need to adjust or? Please advice.

Maby a function/checkbox “ignore error message” could be a fix?

    Same problem!! Please fix this!!!!

My error is in from field “This field has syntax errors.” WTF????????

I have the same problem as talayika and Piani, I have a configuration error in the from field.

Mine is saying “This email address does not belong to the same domain as the site.”

I have set it up as [your-name] <[your-email]>.

And as Piani mentioned the form is working as it should. I don’t get why there is an configuration error than.

Can anybody help me with that?

Same problem here. I have a contact form on a subdomain. Now the sending email is not validated although it belongs to the main domain. The contact form shows me an “Email server problem”. Please fix this!

    Hi,

Put the email from the site, but in Settings then General
    – email address surrounded by “<” and “>“
    [your-email] <email@example.com>

    line sudject, put by example
    Sudject [your-subject]

    Hi Noaneo,

I have tried your suggestion but it does not work. Because when you send an email in reply of the contact form email it is than send to email@example.com

    That’s tedious.

Guys, I believe there’s no point in trying to hack this. The validation is wrong because it’s implemented wrong. Just read the suggestion given in CF7’s Q&A and you’ll understand that there’s nothing wrong with our email forms. The error messages should be ignored, it’s just annoying that they are there.
